My Wired Breath by Tina Pearson

My Wired Breath by Tina Pearson

Tina Pearson is a composer, performer and facilitator whose interests in sonic phenomena, perception and modes of human interaction have led to roles in art, education and community development. Many of her projects engage the boundaries between languages, disciplines, genres and cultures, and between creators, performers and audiences. Pearson’s work often includes eco-mimicry, micro intonation and spectral elements; and usually incorporates a focus on breath, and/or stretched modes of performance attention and practice.

Tina is one of Roles 4 Women’s four commissioned artists creating new work for “Women From The Future” – coming this June to the Factory Theatre in Toronto. As part of her creation process Tina has been working on the Odyssey Simulator to develop concepts and performance elements. At our International Women’s Day performance series Tina generously shared some of her process in “study for ‘My Wired Breath’ – a work in progress”.
